A study from the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Medical University of Vienna found that oral doses of lavender helped reduce symptoms of anxiousness. Another study revealed that aromatherapy helped women who were at risk of developing postpartum blues. The researchers used lavender essential oil and rose oil. After four weeks of diffusion with these oils, the women reported less anxiety and fewer cases of postpartum blues.
